Cricket Victoria and Manhari Metals have strengthened their commitment to women’s sport, announcing an expanded partnership that will see Manhari Metals continue as the naming rights partner of the Victorian Women’s Cricket Team for another two years.
As part of the deal, the Manhari Metals logo will feature on the team’s training and playing uniforms, with their branding also being displayed across signage at all Women’s National Cricket League (WNCL) matches held at CitiPower Centre.
Since first joining forces with the Victorian Women’s Cricket Team in 2022, Manhari Metals has demonstrated a strong commitment to sustainability and community impact. Their ongoing support aligns with their mission to empower women in sport while promoting responsible recycling practices.
Manhari Metals has played a pivotal role in advancing recycling initiatives in Victoria, with operations spanning the buying, selling, and processing of both ferrous and nonferrous metals. The company has been at the forefront of adaptive re-use and recycling pathways across multiple industries, including metals, tyres, e-waste, solar panels, and lithium batteries. Their efforts contribute significantly to a circular economy, helping businesses and local governments implement effective recycling solutions.
Commenting on the partnership, Cricket Victoria’s GM of Consumer Business, Dylan Prescott, said: “We couldn’t be more excited to write the next chapter of this special partnership with a company whose shared values on sustainability, innovation, connection and community have helped make such a positive impact on empowering women’s sport and inspiring women and girls to be involved and play our great game.”
With a well-established presence in country Victoria, Manhari Metals continues to provide essential recycling services to regional businesses and government bodies, reinforcing their dedication to environmental sustainability.
The expanded partnership with Cricket Victoria not only strengthens women’s cricket but also highlights the shared values between both organisations in driving positive change within the community.
