Community: Geelong Cats and Dulux Team Up , SUNS Partner for StreetSmarts Program

Geelong Cats and Dulux have announced a new threeyear partnership, welcoming Dulux as the Clubs Official Paint Partner. As part of the partnership, Dulux will launch their Colour Your Club campaign in the G21 and Barwon South West regions, with the goal of inviting sports clubs to apply for a clubhouse repaint and refresh.

Speaking on the partnership, Dulux Chief Operating Officer Pat Jones added:Just like Geelong ismore than just a club, at Dulux we are more than just a paint brand, we are supporters of community.

We both have deep respect for our shared histories whilst keeping a firm eye on the future and what our communities need.

Its all about people in the end. We recently celebrated a decade long partnership with Surf Life Saving Australia that has seen us provide over 40,000 litres of paint for surf clubs around the country. Clubs all along the western Victorian coast, from Torquay to Portland, have been provided paint by Dulux to help them keep their clubhouses protected from the harsh climate.

The Gold Coast SUNS Academy have also announced a twoyear partnership with the Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads, with education platform StreetSmarts becoming their very first naming rights partner. Academy Manager Kath Newman has declared the partnershipvery important for the Academy and a massive step forward for whats becoming a big part of the club.

While people see our program as a football program, we also do a massive amount of education offfield in terms of health and wellbeing, said New.This adds another avenue to what we do, providing a wellrounded education process.

The StreetSmarts program aims to engage directly with communities about road safety issues, shine a light on driver education and road safety, and bring about social change to encourage safe driver behaviour. With their core demographic being players who are on the brink of obtaining their drivers licence, it puts an emphasis on educating young Australians on road safety.

We want to make sure were producing really safe road users and they are role models for their peers, said Newman. StreetSmarts will have prominent branding across all major Gold Coast SUNS Academy apparel and assets, including the back of the SUNS Academy guernsey.
