Brisbane Roar has confirmed the renewal of its Platinum Partnership with Construction Skills Queensland (CSQ) for the 2025/26 A-Leagues season, a collaboration that links football sponsorship with workforce development in one of the state’s largest industries.
CSQ, which is tasked with training and attracting new entrants into Queensland’s building and construction sector, will continue to hold naming and branding rights for the “half-time heroes” activation at both the A-League Men’s and Women’s fixtures.
Brisbane Roar CEO, Kaz Patafta, described the renewal as an endorsement of the club’s strategic direction, noting the importance of maintaining partnerships that align community engagement with commercial growth.
“We thank them for their recommitment and belief in where we are heading as a football club and look forward to seeing this partnership grow into the future,” Patafta said.
For CSQ, the deal reinforces a strategy of reaching potential entrants into the construction industry through sport.
Chief Executive, Geoff Clare pointed to the energy of Brisbane Roar fans as a natural alignment with CSQ’s efforts to showcase opportunities in the sector.
“We are delighted to return for another season supporting Brisbane Roar and sharing the exciting opportunities available for young people in Queensland,” Clare said.
Commercial Perspective
the extension underscores the growing trend of sponsorships that go beyond brand awareness to serve workforce and community development objectives.
For Brisbane Roar, the retention of a Platinum Partner provides stability as the club continues to rebuild its commercial portfolio under new leadership and amid a competitive Queensland sporting landscape.
With Queensland’s construction sector projected to expand in the lead-up to the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games, the partnership also positions Brisbane Roar as a platform for industry messaging during a period of heightened infrastructure investment.
