beIN SPORTS Partners with Tennis Australia

beIN SPORTS has expanded its Australian rights portfolio through a new partnership with Tennis Australia, confirming live coverage of 15 weeks of Australian Pro Tour events across the 2025–26 season.

The deal offers over USD1.4 million (AUD2.1 million) in prize money annually and is estimated to generate more than USD30 million in economic benefit for host cities.

For Tennis Australia, securing live distribution through a global broadcaster provides visibility for players competing below the ATP and WTA Tours, while also strengthening commercial opportunities for sponsors and host venues.

Commercial Implication

Tennis Australia Director of Pathways, Lawrence Robertson, said the deal provides a critical platform to showcase emerging players while strengthening grassroots connections.

The move aligns with Tennis Australia’s strategy to bridge the gap between participation, domestic competition, and the global professional circuit.

beIN Asia Pacific Managing Director, Mike Kerr, noted the value of packaging domestic competitions alongside international tours, framing the partnership as a way to create a “complete tennis offering” for fans.

For broadcasters, the integration of grassroots and professional content represents a strategic play to diversify coverage and build deeper audience engagement.

Commercial Coverage

Coverage begins with the inaugural Capital of Country International in Tamworth, NSW, an event designed to position regional Australia within the professional tennis calendar. The partnership also extends to junior events, including the Alex de Minaur Junior Tour Finals and National Championships, with matches available on beIN SPORTS CONNECT, as well as channels on Amazon Prime Video and FetchTV.

For beIN SPORTS, the agreement adds to existing rights for the ATP and WTA Tours, Davis Cup and Billie Jean King Cup, offering year-round tennis content. This continuity of coverage is likely to support subscription growth and retention, particularly with the broadcaster promoting a discounted USD9.99 (AUD14.99) monthly rate for the next 12 months.
