The Savannah Bananas and Banana Ball 2026 could soon be making their mark in various cities. Interest has poured in from some of the world’s largest stadiums, accommodating over 100,000 fans, as well as NFL, MLB, and soccer venues, and even high school and little league fields—though the latter presents a few logistical challenges.
Thousands of fans have voiced their enthusiasm, and media outlets have also weighed in, presenting for their respective cities. However, the selection process is anything but straightforward.
Over 150 cities have expressed interest in hosting the inaugural Banana Ball Championship League season in 2026. Notably, more than 75% of the top 50 media markets have submitted proposals, with over 50 cities looking to host two brand new Banana Ball teams.
Ultimately, the decision will hinge on one crucial factor: the fans.
The primary focus will be on crafting the most extraordinary experience possible for this event. Questions such as: How can we best serve our fans? Where will Banana Ball resonate the most? As applications will be open for just a few more weeks before the organisers make their final decision.
On October 9th, a live event in Savannah will unveil the chosen cities, with thousands attending in person and many more tuning in via television and YouTube.
This event will also introduce the two new Banana Ball teams for the 2026 Banana League season.
