Melbourne-based Fernwood Fitness is celebrating dual honours, securing the AUSactive Industry Innovation Award for its partnership with AstonRX, while also being shortlisted in three categories at the international Stevie® Awards for Women in Business.

At the AUSactive National Awards Gala in Sydney on 19 September, Fernwood received the Industry Innovation Award for its groundbreaking collaboration with AstonRX. The initiative was recognised for shifting the narrative in women’s fitness from weight loss to holistic wellbeing, delivering meaningful community impact and nationwide industry innovation.

Commenting on the hounours, Fernwood CEO, Belinda Amis Wheaton, said: “These honours reflect Fernwood’s passion and commitment to empowering women to achieve their health and fitness goals.”

“Being recognised at both national and international levels showcases the vision of our Founder, Di Williams, and the dedication of our team, franchisees, and members. Together, we remain focused on creating supportive spaces where women can thrive,” Wheaton said.

On the global stage, Fernwood’s leadership has been acknowledged at the Stevie Awards, with Founder and Chair Diana Williams and the Senior Leadership Team named finalists across three categories:

  • Management Team of the Year – Women-Owned or Led Organisation
  • Most Innovative Woman of the Year – Franchising (Diana Williams)
  • Woman of the Year – Franchising (Diana Williams)

Winners will be revealed at the 22nd Annual Stevie Awards Gala in New York City on 10 November 2025.
