Mercure Sydney Manly Warringah, in partnership with its owner Salter Brothers, has announced a new sponsorship deal with the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles Women’s Team, the newest team in the Harvey Norman NSW Women’s Premiership league competition.

As the Sea Eagles’ first women’s-only partner, General Manager of Mercure Sydney Manly Warringah, Scott bear, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership, highlighting the positive impact it will have on the club, the community, and the travel industry at large. “We are thrilled to support the burgeoning growth of women’s sport through this partnership, aiming to elevate its prominence not just locally on the Northern Beaches but across the entire nation,” Bear stated. “Being associated with such a fantastic program is a privilege, and we are excited to work hand in hand with the Sea Eagles and their dedicated community to create unforgettable experiences for all involved.”

As part of the agreement, the Mercure brand will be prominently displayed on the women’s playing shorts, featured during game day announcements, and integrated into the team’s digital content on various online platforms and social media channels. Moreover, the partnership will offer accommodation for players and coaching staff during travels for games and training sessions. Employment opportunities will also be extended to players under the ‘no work, no play’ policy, alongside accommodation discounts for players, staff, and members alike.

Tony Mestrov, Chief Executive Officer of Manly Warringah Sea Eagles, warmly welcomed Mercure Sydney Manly Warringah to the club, emphasising the substantial positive impact this collaboration will have on the female athletes both on and off the field. “This partnership opens up exciting prospects for our female players, providing them with opportunities to work across various roles and develop a broad spectrum of skills within the Mercure network throughout NSW,” Mestrov shared. “Additionally, the strategic location of Mercure Sydney Manly Warringah, just a short distance from our home ground at 4 Pines Park, makes it a convenient base for Sea Eagles fans traveling to attend our games.”

Accor, the parent company of Mercure, boasts partnerships with several esteemed sports organisations, including the NRL, NRLW, AFL, AFLW, New Zealand Cricket, and New Zealand Rugby. Adrian Williams, Chief Operating Officer PM&E of Accor Pacific, highlighted the essential role of sports in Australian culture and the mutual benefits that collaboration between tourism and sports entities can bring. “The new Sea Eagles women’s team is poised to make waves in women’s sport, and we are honoured to support them on their journey to success,” Williams commented.

The Harvey Norman NSW Women’s Premiership is NSWRL’s top-tier open-age competition for women, dedicated to developing female players for the national level.
