The Jays Care Foundation, a philanthropic wing of the Toronto Blue Jays, has announced a commitment exceeding USD$1.5 million (AUD$2.3 million) in infrastructure investments through its Field Of Dreams program, enabled by TD.

This initiative aims to construct and refurbish baseball diamonds nationwide, spanning six provinces.

Fifteen distinct organisations will benefit from this funding to either build new diamonds or enhance existing facilities within their communities.

Commenting on the partnership, Acting executive director of Jays Care Foundation, Peter King, said: “Jays Care is thrilled to partner with these 15 outstanding organisations, all committed to bringing the game of baseball to more children and youth across the country.”

“These new diamonds will be more than just places to play; they’ll be hubs for community connection where young people can get active, learn, and grow a love for the game of baseball.

“Now more than ever, we’re proud to invest in Canadian communities and create opportunities for kids to experience the power of being part of a team.

“Thank you to all who submitted proposals, and we look forward to seeing these projects come to life and the positive impact they’ll have on the next generation from coast to coast to coast,” King said.

Supporting this initiative, vice president of North American Brand and Corporate Sponsorship at TD, Michael Armstrong, said: “TD is proud to again support the Field Of Dreams program with Jays Care Foundation – helping build inclusive spaces where families gather, kids play, and communities thrive.”

“These diamonds are more than just fields – it’s about breaking down barriers, creating access to sport, and investing in spaces where communities can connect, grow, and share in the joy of the game,” Armstrong said.

These baseball diamonds are designed to foster growth in the sport across Canada, providing children with safe and inclusive environments where they can develop essential life skills, learn from positive role models, establish friendships, and cultivate a passion for baseball.

Since its inception, the Field Of Dreams program has seen Jays Care invest over USD$20 million (AUD$30 million) into 232 projects that aim to enhance local baseball infrastructure throughout the country.

The following communities and organisations have been selected as the 2025 Field Of Dreams grant recipients:

  • Summerland, British Columbia – Summerland Minor Baseball, Living Memorial Park
