(WTA) The Women’s Tennis Association has secured a six-year extension of its broadcasting agreement with Tennis Channel, a move set to run from 2026 through 2032.

This deal, orchestrated by WTA Ventures – the commercial division of the tour – ensures that nearly all WTA Tour events outside the United States will be broadcast across Tennis Channel’s linear and direct-to-consumer (DTC) platforms.

Expressing enthusiasm for the extenstion, chief executive of WTA Ventures, Marina Storti, said: “The US is a hugely significant market for the WTA and we are excited to be partnering with Tennis Channel to bring six more seasons of brilliant tennis to fans across all its platforms.”

“Tennis Channel has shown a strong commitment to the WTA through this agreement, and we have a shared ambition to continue to deepen audience engagement and grow the impact of women’s tennis.

“By securing a multi-year investment from a valued strategic partner, this deal is a significant milestone for WTA Ventures as we continue to execute our strategy to achieve a step change in the commercial value of women’s tennis,” Storti mentioned.

Chief executive of Tennis Channel, Jeff Blackburn, added: “The WTA has been an important part of Tennis Channel since our first days on air.”

“We couldn’t be happier to extend this partnership into the next decade. Women’s tennis is one of the most thrilling products in sports, and the tour has never been stronger than it is right now.”

“Tennis Channel looks forward to developing innovative ways to attract and entertain new fans—and to keep building on this momentum with Marina and her team,” Blackburn concluded.

The agreement encompasses all WTA 1000, 500, and 250 tournaments, as well as the season-ending WTA Finals, reinforcing Tennis Channel as a primary gateway for women’s tennis content in the US (excluding Grand Slam events).

This long-term commitment arrives amid renewed US interest in women’s tennis, marked by a strong contingent of American players in the global top ten and reported surges in viewership among the 18 to 34 age demographic on Tennis Channel.
