Netball Queensland and the elite Queensland Firebirds team have announced a partnership with McDonald’s, establishing a strong commitment to supporting netball participants from grassroots courts in regional communities through to the elite Suncorp Super Netball stage at Nissan Arena.
Commenting on the partnership, Netball Queensland and Firebirds CEO, Kate Davies, highlighted the synergy between the organisations and the importance of the timing.
“This partnership is an exciting alignment of two iconic brands in Queensland.”
“It powerfully supports our new ‘Go For Growth’ strategic plan, which aims to grow participation, pathways, and the sport’s presence on the national stage,” Davies said.
Davies emphasised that the partnership will be instrumental in creating real opportunities for women in sport, whether they are just starting out in primary school or competing for the Firebirds.
McDonald’s Queensland state marketing manager, Zoe Rowley, affirmed the company’s commitment.
“At Macca’s, supporting women and girls in sport is something we’re truly passionate about.”
“This partnership is about more than game day; it’s about celebrating community, creating opportunities, and inspiring the next generation to chase their dreams,” Rowley stated.
